Obtaining a useful update on changes in designing drain and sewer systems will be one of the key take-outs from the forthcoming BPF Pipes Group hosted lunchtime webinar on 24 November.

Taking place from 12.00 to 13.00 and with opportunities for online questions, the webinar will highlight specific aspects of UK design methods and the role that plastics can play. Designing drains and sewers is vital to correct long-term operation and modern materials and methods can assist in functional design.

The webinar will be presented by Richard Eddy, Chair of the BPF Pipes Group Drains and Sewers Working Group. Richard sits as the UK expert on the CEN Committee for Thermoplastics ancillaries for soil and waste discharge and gravity buried drainage and sewerage systems. He is Category Manager for Underground and Utilities within his business and has worked in plastics pipe manufacturing for over 30 years.
